The Nigerian University of Technology and Management offers the NUTM scholars program (NSP) for African Students. It is one year of an interdisciplinary program. As mention before that NSP is a one-year full-time interdisciplinary Postgraduate program. This program is in Entrepreneurship, Technology and design.

In this program, the candidates will learn the concept of technology, entrepreneurship and design, and they will get a chance to improve their management and leadership skills. The NUTM scholars intend to groom the young leaders in the new path of their field. African students from diverse backgrounds across Africa can apply for this program.

Eligibility Criteria :

An excellent academic record of the student

Awareness of global trends in technology.

Should have leadership experience and ability to overcome the challenges.

Strong verbal and good communication skills.

They must be passionate about new ideas which impact Africa.

Not more than the age of 32 years as the date on the application form.

A recognized undergraduate degree in any field.

Other details :

A full-time opportunity to shadow senior leaders through a six weeks internship.

Guest lectures, workshops and individual mentorship by leaders and entrepreneurs.

An entrepreneurship capstone project that enables the scholars to build a venture from scratch during the NSP.

A workplace-ready toolkit consisting of coursework, industry sessions, simulations, individual and group feedback will be provided.

Candidates will get a chance of a short study trip to a selected location to gain international business and culture exposure

Application Process:

Complete the online application form, including information about the background education, work experience, interests and motivations. There are no application fees.

The shortlisted students from the online application will be invited to test learning ability, personality traits and critical thinking abilities.

Qualified students from the online assessment will be invited for a 20 minutes telephonic interview. The telephonic interview will evaluate your aspirations and suitability for the NSP.

Now the final stage would be the in-person 20 minutes of interaction with the panel. At this stage, the student would be selected based on their aptitude, leadership potential and motivation to attend the program.
