Keio University GIGA Scholarships for International Students 2021
Keio University is offering GIGA Scholarships for outstanding international students for the academic year 2021. The scholarships are provided for Global Information and Governance Academic program in Japan. Scholarships are provided to pursue the undergraduate program at Keio University.
Candidates can apply for the scholarship at the time of applying for the program at Keio. Current students cannot apply for GIGA scholarships. They can apply for both types of scholarships. Still, they will be awarded only one if they are selected, the Japanese government scholarship and a Masatada Kobayashi scholarship for international students. Both awards offer different benefits. The duration of the scholarship is 4 years.
The scholarships are awarded only to the outstanding and hard-working, passionate students interested in information technology and plan to contribute to global security. Keio University is a leading private research university in Japan; it is considered the second top institute in Japan.

Eligibility Criteria :
Applicants shall meet the following criteria:
They must be accepted through global screening.
Applicants must be incoming international students enrolling for the first year.
Japanese applicants cannot apply.
Applicants holding permanent residency for a family member in Japan are also not eligible.

Japanese Government Scholarship
It will cover the traveling cost.
The fee will be covered for the first year only; the scholarship will be renewed each year if they maintain a specific GPA.
Masada Kobayashi Scholarship will provide 1,000,000 JYP annually for the duration of the scholarship.
If you want to avail the scholarship, register and apply using the online application system before 5 February 2021. Applicants who haven’t graduated from high school where the medium of instruction was English must submit an English Language proficiency score certificate.
