LPI Summer Internship Program in USA 2021, Fully Funded

Lunar and Planetary Institute is offering LPI summer internship program in USA for citizens of America as well as international students. Undergraduate students can apply for LPI summer internship, the internship program will cover all the expense of international students and the LPI summer internship will take place in Houston, Texas.

This is an excellent opportunity for undergraduate students to learn from planetary scientists, take part in cutting-edge research and discover the world of career. All students will be given a chance to participate in activities, lectures and developmental workshops during the 10-weeks LPI summer internship program.

No application fee is required and the internship is fully funded. The selection of interns will be based on their academic background, academic excellence and previous performance. Students from engineering background, mathematics and from the field of computer science will be given priority but other students are also eligible to apply.

Students will get a chance to work with scientists of LPI one-on-one on different research projects. Due to the pandemic situation, the internship might go virtual, but LPI hopes to provide an onsite LPI summer internship. Selected interns will be notified by March.

IELTS/TOEFL is not mandatory; an English proficiency certificate can be submitted. Undergraduate students are encouraged to apply for this scholarship if they are from the same major and studying the same field.

Eligibility Criteria :

To be eligible for the LPI summer internship, applicants should meet the following criteria:

Minimum 50 credit hours.

Students majoring in computer science, engineering, natural science and mathematics.

Students can apply regardless of age, gender, race, religion, disabilities or other status.

Benefits :

A stipend of $ 7,300 will be provided to the interns to cover their cost for the LPI summer internship program duration.

This amount is provided to support the travel, accommodation and living expense of interns.

International interns will receive $500 additionally to cover travel expense.

$1,500 will be offered to applicants who will submit abstract (accepted) to the upcoming conference of Lunar and Planetary Science.
