We are looking for a Master student in the Malkemper laboratory at Research Center Caesar, a Max Planck associated research institute for neuroethology. The Malkemper lab is interested in the neural basis of the magnetic sense in mammals.
The successful applicant will be working on a project focused on behavioral assays of magnetic orientation in African mole-rats and laboratory mice. He/she will be introduced to a fascinating animal model, animal tracking, brain clearing and other state of the art methods in sensory neurobiology.
Keen interest in sensory biology is an essential prerequisite, as is perseverance, passion and a willingness to work flexible hours. The successful applicant will receive a monthly stipend.
