postdoc research fellows in the areas of metabolomics, bioinformatics, and systems biology. UBC Canada (Msc & PhD)

Welcome to the Metabolomics and Systems Biology Laboratory at UBC

Metabolomics is defined as the study of the entire set of metabolites in biofluids, cells, and tissues. It is an emerging technology in the post-genomic era to interrogate cellular biochemistry, perform diagnostic testing, stratify patient populations, and characterize biochemical mechanisms of disease.

The research activity in Huan lab is to develop analytical chemistry and bioinformatics for mass spectrometry-based metabolomics and its integration into systems biology. Further, through collaborating with bioscience researchers, the Huan lab applies state-of-the-art metabolomics techniques to a wide range of biological questions.

We are looking for outstanding Ph.D. and M.Sc. candidates

There are a number of available positions for graduate students (both Ph.D. and M.Sc. programs) in the Huan lab to work in the areas of analytical mass spectrometry, metabolomics, bioinformatics, systems biology, and biological applications. The applicants can apply for it through Department of ChemistryGenome Science and Technology, or Bioinformatics programs, depending on their academic backgrounds. The applicants are encouraged to email and chat with the current group members to know more details about the lab.
